These used 18650 Tesla battery modules from a 85kWh Model S are delivered fully tested.
These are currently the best battery on the market for energy density. The most popular, the 85-type, has an energy density of nearly 200Wh/kg!!
Model S modules are comprised of Panasonic 3400mAh cells arranged in a 74p6s configuration. Each module contains 444 cells, and each cell is independently safety fused on both terminals.
They are rated at 500 amps, 750 amps peak. Additionally, an integrated liquid cooling/heating system is included, but they can also be air cooled in light duty cycle applications.
The module is included with an integrated connector with cell level connectivity for BMS systems, two integrated thermistors, Plastic protective covers (both top and bottom) and Coolant line caps.
